Job Responsibilities:
- Identify and recommend business process improvements relevant to Commercial Organization.
- Lead the IT development of Business Intelligence solutions to meet the needs of the Commercial Organization (Sales, Sales Operations, Market Access, Marketing, Pricing & Contracting).
- Lead requirements gathering efforts and translate Business Requirements into Functional/Technical Specifications.
- Define, develop, and document the Business Intelligence requirements for the various Commercial business units to fulfill Data Warehouse, Data Marts and Reporting/Analytics needs.
- Lead the data collection, data definition, design, and development of Requirements Specifications for the Data Warehouse, Data Marts, Reports, Analytics and KPI’s.
- Lead the engagement with Partners and Data Service Providers delivering BI solutions to meet business needs.
- Participate in the technical review of DW design and reports with other IT teams and User Acceptance reviews with end-user audience.
- Actively involved in the Data Governance and maintenance of the Enterprise Commercial platform, including Customer Master (HCP/HCO).
- Interface with business and functional teams providing strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Work closely with the IT platform leads to apply standards and evolve process to ensure solutions abide by best practices and industry principles.
- Review data to determine operational impacts and needed actions.
- Escalate issues, trends, areas for improvements, and opportunities to management.
- Draw out key business insights and provide actionable recommendations.
- Provide advanced analytical support for the Commercial business units.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 7-10 years minimum experience in the Information Technology field.
- 5+ years of working in Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical Industry supporting Commercial business units to meet their Data and Analytics needs.5+ years of hands-on experience with aspects of the Data Warehouse lifecycle including data analysis, modeling, design, and report building.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Experience with analyzing large data sets (Patient, Payer, Provider, Marketing campaigns, Speaker Programs etc) in a Life Sciences/ Pharmaceutical environment.
- Knowledge of Master Data Management, Data Warehousing Principles, and Data Governance.
- Strong knowledge of processes & data related to Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Market Access etc. (e.g. Direct Sales, Self-Dispensing Pharmacy, Competitor Sales, Prescription, Shipment, Distribution Channel, CRM, Incentive Program, Physician Affiliations, Pricing decisions, Payer contracts, Speaker Program, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of processes and applications related to Commercial organization (e.g. IMS, SPP (Specialty Pharmacy), SD (Specialty Drug Distributors), Direct Sales, Self-Dispensing Pharmacy, Shipment, Veeva, Speaker Program, SAS, etc.).
